We are proud to announce that Study Academy has partnered with Timpson Group to support the Service to Success Scholarship, the brainchild of John Loveday, a veteran and now Co-founder & Group CEO of Study Academy & Study Academy USA
John faced significant challenges finding employment after leaving the forces in 2010 following tours of Iraq and Afghanistan. Now, his mission is clear: to support 1,000 unemployed veterans and military spouses into meaningful employment over the next two years, while also providing valuable skills and mental health support.
Timpson Group is joining as an employer partner, offering access to employment opportunities while also supporting the Study Academy Scholarship in other ways.
Darren Barnes – Head of the Timpson Foundation, said: “We are excited to be working in partnership with Study Academy. At Timpson, we recognise the valuable contribution that our servicemen and women make to our country. We want to support veterans into employment and know that many of the skills they have gained during their military careers are transferable and can lead to them becoming valued members of our team.”
John Loveday, Study Academy, shared: “As a veteran, I understand firsthand how difficult the transition to civilian employment can be. Too many veterans and military spouses struggle to find meaningful careers despite their incredible skills and resilience. Through the Service to Success Scholarship and our partnership with Timpson Group, we are breaking down those barriers. Our goal is to support 1,000 individuals into employment, equipping them with the skills, confidence, and mental health support they need to thrive. This partnership is a huge step towards making that vision a reality.”
This fully funded scholarship is free for veterans and military spouses, made possible through Study Academy’s profits, corporate sponsorship, and organisations joining the Study Academy family of clients.
John visited Timpson Group HQ in Manchester to finalise the partnership and meet Darren in person.
